God (ईश्वर)
God is blissful, formless, almighty, just, merciful, unborn, infinite, Immaculate, beginning less, unique, omnipotent, lord of all, omnipresent, omniscient, indestructible, immortal, fearless, eternal, holy and the creator.
Whose name is "Om".
All the believers of the world other than Vedic Dharm, that is, the sects who believe in God, have described the nature of God in their respective so-called communal texts, which is against the Vedas, against the order of creation and against intelligence, logic and science. There is no uniformity in any. The reason for this is that the communal people did not interpret God on the basis of logic and resorted to imagination.
The result of this is that when a devout inquisitive person studies the nature of God told by these sects, then he is not able to decide which sect of God is real and which is false? Some call God one, some many! Some consider it to be omnipresent, while some consider it to be situated in a particular place, country. Some presented it as formless, while some presented it in corporeal form. Some God is Saguna, some Nirguna. A person of ordinary intelligence can never decide whose God is true? And whose liar?
But on the basis of Vedas, the description of the true nature of God by Maharishi Dayanand cannot be unacceptable to anyone. Vedas are divine knowledge. God is perfect, so his knowledge is also complete. The nature of God based on his knowledge Vedas is definitely true, real. There can be no doubt about it.
To present the form of God, Maharishi Dayanand described the qualities of God and the sequence in which they were presented is very unique. According to the Vedas, click here to see in detail some of the qualities, deeds and nature of God by Maharishi Dayanand.
Proof of existence of God (ईश्वर होने के प्रमाण)
There is infinite evidence of the existence of God in this universe, but there is not a single proof that there is no God.
What is the proof that there is God? Before asking for proof, it is also necessary to know how many types of proofs are there, but we will keep that topic aside. What is the proof of the existence of God in this body and universe? Take a look at this.
The whole world is interpreting God only. This world is made, this proves that there is a creator because it is a universal principle that nothing is created without being created. It is also the belief of science that without a conscious doer there can be no action and without action there can be no work.
In this whole world, action is happening, work is being done. From this it is proved that someone is the doer, there is a conscious. Nothing can be done without a doer, nothing can be made without a maker. Without the creator there is no creation, without the legislator there can be no legislation. There can be no system without administrator, without operator there can be no operation, without any poet poetry is not written, without protector there is no protection, there is someone powerful who is conscious who is running this world. So if we do not know that almighty, even then his existence does not end. If all the human beings of the whole world deny God and say that there is no God, that doesn't mean god does not exist. Just because we don't know if he is there, claiming that he is not there is not an argument.
Whenever someone in the house asks you who cooked the food, you say that the food was prepared by the mother. When someone asks who built this house, you say that father built this house, grandfather built this house. When someone says who made this pot, you say that the potter made it. When someone asks you who made this watch, you say that such a company made this, this fan, this clothes, this car, who made all this? Somebody has created it, even though we do not know the creator. Haven't seen him yet, but someone has made it.
Similarly, if someone asks you, who made the sun? Who made the earth? Who created the moon, constellation? Who made the bodies of everyone from an ant to an elephant? Who created these water, land, oceans, deserts, mountains, springs, rivers, trees and all?
You didn't make this. If no one on this earth has made it, then has no one made this?
No!
There is a maker. Because what we did not create, does not mean that no one made it. Our power is limited. He who created this is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent and conscious. He is called God.
Some people says that this world was created by itself.
How did you become yourself? Bread doesn't make itself. Clothes doesn't make itself, watch doesn't make itself. Nothing is created by itself, it is made by making.
Did it happen by chance? Accidental Incident? That's not possible. If someone says that this world was created by chance, then there must be some conscious power doing the coincidence.
If someone says that coincidence happens automatically, then you take out all the parts of a watch separately and put all those parts in a box and put a lid, then shake it, shake it for years, for thousands of years. Will there be a clock inside by chance? The watch parts will automatically adjust and the clock will start? Keep rotating it for thousands of years, for millions of millions of years, keep rotating it for eternity, it will never become a clock, how will it be turned on! Because in coincidence there are no rules and the clock is made by rules. That is why the clock will never be able to be made by itself. The whole universe is running according to the rules. Becoming day and night. Bodies from ant to elephant are being formed, food is being arranged for everyone, the whole cycle is going on. Earth, fire, water, air, someone is supplying all things and materials. This shows that everything is in order, is in the rules. Rules are not made by themselves, the makers of the rules are the regulator. Some say that only rules are there not regulators.
Some people also say that why is God not visible? Is there a God in the world? Or not!
But there are many reasons to be not visible.
Like things not visible because of being far away. Like London or America are not visible from India but their power cannot be denied even if they are not visible. Some things are not visible even if they are very close. For example, redness of the eye is not visible even when it is very close to the eye. Or if the book is too close to the eye, then its letters cannot be seen. Things such as soul, mind, intellect, atom, hunger, thirst, happiness and sorrow, jealousy, hatred etc. are not visible. The object is not visible even if there is a curtain in the middle hiding it .
So it does not come true on the argument that the thing which is not visible does not exist. Even the intellect cannot accept it. This thing is against all logic, intellect or proof, because without ruler there can be no rules. Even in a house, rules are not made without making them. Then how did the rules become automatically in this whole world? The law-making material cannot be any part of the inanimate-nature. He is some conscious. We call him by the names like God, Ishwar, Parmatma etc. His name in the Vedas is Om. The same Om who is the lord of the whole universe. Through him this universe is created, through him the universe is being protected and he is the destroyer. Because without a causal reason, without a conscious doer, nothing is created. The inanimate world is lifeless. Inanimate things cannot organize themselves intelligently.
Form of God (ईश्वर का स्वरूप)
God is true, formless, almighty, just, merciful, unborn, infinite, Nirvikar, beginning less, unique, omnipotent, lord of all, omnipresent, omniscient, indestructible, immortal, fearless, eternal, holy, and the creator..
According to the Vedas, here are some of the qualities, deeds, nature and nature of God by Maharishi Dayanand-
Blissful (Sachchidanand Swaroop) - It is made up of 3 words. Sat, Chit and Ananda. The meaning of these three is also written differently.
Sat- "यदस्ति त्रिषु कालेषु न बाध्यते तत् सद्ब्रह्म" means who is always present, means that Supreme God who is unobstructed in all the three periods is called Sat. He is ever present. He can never be destroyed. That's why he is called Sat. One who is not present in all three periods cannot be called God. Even great men like Shri Ram, Shri Krishna etc. cannot be called God because they are not present in all the three periods, they are not in the body now, but God is still there, was then and always is.
Chit– One who is the conscious form, the one who gives consciousness to all beings and the knower of truth. Therefore the name of that Supreme Soul is Chit. How does God make the soul understand the truth? In this regard, the Maharishi has written that at the time of desire for sinful conduct, by generating fear, doubt, shame and in doing good deeds generating fearlessness, joy, and enthusiasm, God gives the soul the realization of truth at all times.
Ananda– In which all liberated beings attain bliss and which makes all virtuous souls with joy. Hence the name of God is Ananda.
Due to the adjectives of these three words, the Supreme Lord is called Sachchidanand Swaroop, that is, Sat being the form of Sat, Chit being the form of Chit and Ananda from being the form of Ananda.
Formless - One who has no form, and who never assumes a body. Therefore the name of God is formless.
Almighty - "सर्वा: शक्तयो विद्यन्ते यस्मिन् स सर्वशक्तिमानीश्वर:"
One who does not want the help of others in doing his work. He completes all his tasks with his own power. Therefore the name of that Supreme Soul is Almighty. Here the word 'Sarva' does not mean 'all', but it means 'who has the power to do all the things that are worth doing', one who has the power to do them. It means being neutral in doing one's work, that is, not being dependent on anyone else in doing one's work, this is omnipotent.
In Satyarth Prakash, Maharishi Dayanand Saraswatiji is explaining on behalf of the theorist in this way, when a person says that God can do everything, can God make such a mountain which even himself cannot lift? If you say yes! If he can build it, then the question arises that how almighty is he that he cannot lift even the mountain he has made. If he says that he cannot create, then how can the Almighty still be? Who cannot make such a mountain. People who do wrong arguments tries to trap from both the sides.
Can God kill himself and create another God! If not, how is the Almighty? When God can do everything, then in everything there is lies, deceit, theft, everything has come. Hence here the word 'Sarva' means 'everything worth doing'.
'कर्तुम् अकर्तुम अन्यथाकर्तुम् समर्थ:' That is, the one who has the ability to do both the doable and the non-doable is not called almighty. Rather, he does what is worth doing and does not do what is not worth doing, God is the master of all such powers.
Just- A judge is called a just. Justice is said to be that non-discriminatory conduct in the form of dharm, which is proved to be true by the examination of direct evidences. God is called just because it is his nature is to do justice without partiality.
Merciful - One who is the giver of fearlessness, the knower of all knowledge, the protector of all gentlemen and the one who punishes the wicked as appropriate. By this the name of God is merciful.
Unborn - One who does not take birth himself. So God is called unborn.
Infinite- Whose end, duration, limit, that is, so long, wide, small, big, does not have such magnitude. Therefore the name of God is infinite.
Immaculate - In which there is no disorder i.e. disease or defect.
Beginning less - The one whose original cause is not there is called beginning less. The one whose cause, material and simple cause is not available is beginning less.
Incomparable- One who cannot be compared. There is nothing equal or greater than him. Therefore he is unique.
Support of all - The one who is the basis of the world, Shakti.
Lord of all- One who is the God of all.
Omnipresent - One who is pervasive in all the worlds.
Omniscient - One who is the one who knows all and keeps the whole world in the rules, staying within everyone.
Ajar (indestructible) - The one which is not degraded i.e. that is not decayed is called ajar without age.
Immortal - One who does not die. And what always remains the present and should never be a past.
Fearless - One who has no fear of any kind. Fearless.
Eternal - The one who is immutable and imperishable.
Holy - The one who is pure, separate from all impurities and purifies all, is called holy.
Creator - The one who is the originator or creator of all the worlds.
Due to the special qualities of God, his nature and power, he is called by many names. His main name is Om. We know him by hundreds of names like Paramatma, Prabhu, Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma, Narayan, Agni, Vayu, Aditya, Mahadev, Rudra, Lakshmi, Prajapati, Ganapati, Brother, Mother, Father, Varuna, Brihaspati, Indra etc.
He is widespread everywhere. There is no place where he is not there, he has no body, so we cannot see him with our eyes. He is also absorbed in this corporeal world. He is infinite outside it. He is omnipotent. He has created such a big earth, sun, moon, constellations without taking birth, without hands and feet and is rotating all of them systematically. From elephant to ant, innumerable creatures are being born and killed. His power is unparalleled, which we call natural powers, those powers are of God. His power works in inert objects like earth, water, fire, air and sky. Seeing the terrible earthquake, catastrophic flood, destructive fire, destructive storms, the fearful beings consider his great power and believe in his power. Surely that God is doing all this with his infinite power. That is why he is called almighty.
🌷एको देव: सर्वभूतेषु गुढ़:। सर्वव्यापी सर्वभूतान्तरात्मा।।
🌻God is the embodiment of joy - how can you say that? Who feels the joy?
The soul experiences joy(ananda). The satisfaction that comes from the senses is called happiness. That which pleases the senses is called happiness. That which pleases the soul is bliss. The body gets happiness. Ananda is the hunger of the soul which is quenched by the feeling of bliss.
Somewhere in the happiness that we get from nature, there is a mixture of sorrow. Happiness eventually becomes the cause of misery, but when the soul is immersed in bliss, it goes on drowning. It is impossible to describe that joy in any language. Just as the opposite of happiness is sorrow, so there is no opposite word of joy.
The soul has got the experience of bliss (ananda) many times since time immemorial, that is why it keeps on searching for it in every birth and tries everything possible.
He remains unhappy even after getting worldly pleasures. What is that thing that he keeps on looking for in every birth? Rejoice - only joy! God has an infinite treasure trove of joy. That is why God is called the embodiment of joy. God is complete. The thing which is possessed or where it is, the person who lives near it gets it. God has only joy.
🌷स्व१र्यस्य च केवलम्। (अथर्ववेद-१०.८.१)
Therefore, the one who is near him rejoices, just as if you sit near the fire, one experiences heat, heat comes in the body, similarly sitting near ice gives coolness. By the worship of God, the thing (quality) which is with God is attained, that is, from the store of joy, joy is attained. Both Jiva and God are conscious beings. The soul is less intelligent. God is omniscient. The living entity is Sat-Chit, without pleasure, but God is Sat-Chit-Ananda form, so there is joy in God. The soul who comes in contact with him also becomes blissful. By practicing yoga, bliss is experienced in the state of samadhi.
The sentences of Maharishis can also be brought into evidence. So there is joy in God. He is the storehouse of all virtues, good deeds and good qualities. Therefore, the experience of bliss, which is the hunger of the soul, is possible only through the touch (worship) of that perfect God, because God is blissful.
Acts of God (ईश्वर के कार्य)
There are five main functions of God.
-
Creation of the universe.
-
Giving the knowledge of Vedas at the beginning of the universe.
-
To care for all living beings.
-
To run the system of karma.
-
Destroy the world with a catastrophe when the age of the universe is complete.
What does God want from us? (ईश्वर हमसे क्या चाहता है?)
God does not want anything from us for himself, God himself is perfect. He does not need to take anything from anyone from outside. He wishes us to attain liberation from pure knowledge, pure action and pure worship by following the path of truth, following the path of the Vedas, for our salvation and for our welfare. This is his selflessness and pure kindness.
Why do we need God? (ईश्वर की हमें क्या आवश्यकता?)
We need God only because the soul is less intelligent, less powerful and is completely dependent on God. It cannot create a body for itself, nor can it create any substance, substance to maintain the body, nor to protect it. Without the means the soul cannot move. Therefore, God gives it all the means and the human body to get salvation. It get freedom from the triple miseries by attaining the qualities of God's knowledge, strength, joy etc. Hence the need of God is for the souls. There is no benefit or harm to God from the souls. Whereas the soul / man behaves against the laws of God, then he becomes liable to punishment and when he worships him following his rules, then he becomes entitled to his reward. God is the means of salvation, hence God is also called Lakshmi. That is, the means of achieving the goal is called Lakshmi. The ultimate goal of life is salvation, the means leading to that goal i.e. God is called Lakshmi.
What do we gain from devotion to God? (ईश्वर भक्ति से हमें क्या लाभ?)
The benefits that the soul/worshiper gets from devotion to God are so many that they cannot be counted, yet some benefits are being presented here.

-
Worshiping God destroys sins and Increases the power to walk on the path of goodness and truth .
-
The aim of life is liberation i.e. moksha. Moksha means to be released. With whom? Get rid of sorrows. The ultimate goal of life is to be free from Adhibhautik(self-created sorrows), Adhidaivik(naturally occuring sorrows), Adhibhautik(sorrows given by others) sorrows. Which can be accomplished only by worshiping God while performing selfless actions with knowledge and wisdom.
🌷नान्य: पन्था विद्यते अयनाय।
Meaning: There is no other way.
God's principle of karma (ईश्वर की कर्मफल व्यवस्था)
God is the lord of this world. He is omnipresent and omniscient. Sees everyone everywhere, all the time, from all sides. That is why he sees, knows, good and bad and selfless deeds of all human beings, accordingly he gives human beings, animals, birds etc. bodies, means etc. or gives salvation to man to enjoy happiness.
Main principles of karma-
-
All living beings are free to act by living in the divine arrangement and are subordinate to God i.e. dependent in enjoying the fruits.
-
The fruit of action is received by the independent doer only.
-
Karma happens first, the fruit comes later.
-
God gives the fruit of good or virtuous deeds in the form of happiness and the result of bad deeds in the form of sorrow to all human beings.
-
The fruits of both virtuous and sinful actions are obtained separately. One cannot be nullified by the other.
-
The person who atones for his sinful deeds, the amount of atonement he makes, God reduces that punishment.
-
The fruits of actions are given immediately after the deed, in the long-term or even in the next life.
-
The fruits of actions are obtained in the form of body, age and enjoyment (means of enjoying happiness and sorrow).
-
When injustice is done to someone, he does justice and compensates him and punishes the wrongdoer.
-
God grants liberation, that is, salvation to the human beings who behave according to the Vedas.

Why did God create the world? (ईश्वर ने दुनिया क्यों बनाई?)
Why did God create this world? People usually keep asking us this question in vedic sessions or during discourses.
The answer is- God created this world for us (beings) to enjoy the pleasures and suffer the sorrows of our Karmas. We all souls want to attain knowledge, strength, joy etc. Because the soul is ignorant. He has to get these from outside or say that knowledge, power, joy etc. have to be obtained from God. The soul does not have its own/natural knowledge. It has to take knowledge from someone outside.
Since God is omniscient and omnipotent, He knows that the souls are with him from time immemorial and depend on his knowledge, strength and bliss. Therefore it is his duty. With the power of his knowledge, he bestows pure grace on the living beings, that is, he performs selfless deeds. He creates the world not for his own pleasure, but to give happiness, sorrow, enjoyment and liberation to the living beings. He is perfect in himself. He doesn't need anyone.
I ask you if someone is powerful, but does not use that power, then it is equivalent to not being powerful. If someone is a doctor and does not do treatment, then his being a doctor is equal to not being one. We all souls are sick and suffer from ignorance. God is the doctor of all of us. He knows, so he has a responsibility. So it is his responsibility. He does, because no one else does like him.
That is why the creation of this world is for suffer and enjoyment of our karma and for liberation again and again.
That is why God keeps on creating and destroying the world again and again.
Who are the Deity? How many types of Deities are there? (देवता कौन होते हैं? कितने प्रकार के होते हैं?)
Those who are endowed with divine qualities are called Devas. For the welfare of all of us, who give us something without any expectation without any bias. They are all Devas.
There are two types of Devas.
-
Achetan/Inanimate Dev .
-
Chetan/animate Dev.
We get the basis, means, facilities and protection from inanimate matter.
These are of 33 koti/categories. 33 koti does not mean crore, but there are 33 types of gods and goddesses.
Koti = Type.
Koti has two meanings in Devbhasha Sanskrit. One meaning of koti is type and another meaning is crore.
Ignorant people spread this word that there are 33 crore gods and goddesses of Hindus(Aryas). And now ignorant Hindus themselves sing that we have 33 crore deities. Even today, big storytellers etc. keep telling these lies from big forums. Our challenge to them is that you forget the crores, just count the names of 1000 deities only.
There are actually 33 types of deities in our Vedic Dharm:-
There are 33 categories of deities.
Earth, Water, fire, Wind, Sky, Moon, Sun and Constellations
Since it is the abode of all the universe, these are called 8 Vasus .
5 Pranas are there-
Pran, Apana, Vyan, Udan, Saman.
5 Upapranas are there-
Nag, Kurma, Krikal, Devdutt, Dhananjaya,
And the Soul
These are 11 Rudras because when they leave the body, they are the ones that make the family members cry. Hence they are called Rudras.
The 12 months of Samvatsara are 12 Adityas because they all take away the age.
The 32nd is Indra meaning lightning/electricity and is the giver of supreme opulence.
33rd is Prajapati i.e. Yajna which leads to purification of environment, hospitality of scholars and welfare of the subjects through various types of crafts.
But none of these Devas are to be worshiped like God, because all these are Achetan(unconcious). They should be worshiped through Yajna etc.
Chetan Dev-
Chetan Dev is also considered in two ways.
One, the parents, who give life on earth and Acharya/Gurujan who give education to the supreme welfare and doctors, scientist etc. who work in the interest of the society are also Chetan devas. They should be respected by all, but the biggest deva of devas is Mahadev i.e. Om(name of God in Vedas). Only one true God is to be worshipped.
It is clearly written in the 14th section of the Shatapatha Brahmana that being the greatest and the lord of all these inanimate devas, only Paramatma (Mahadev) is the 34th deity to be worshipped. Whose name is Om.
That is, only the Supreme Father, the Supreme Soul, is worthy of worship and not anyone else. If everyone understands and accepts this, then human beings will not fall into the illusion of many Gods.
Power from remembrance of the superpower (महाशक्तिमान् के स्मरण से शक्ति)
How can it be that just by remembering that great Supreme Powerful God, the powers start entering into man? As mysterious as this is, it is equally enjoyable. You can consider this in such a way that your body, senses etc. are active with those feelings/contemplation which you are doing in your mind every day. While contemplating the warriors/Kshatriyas, the element of valor, Kshatriya qualities begins to arise in a child. Is there any doubt in this! After reading the life story of sages, detachment and purity start increasing in life. As a man thinks, so he becomes. The resolutions and choices that keep arising in the heart of the pregnant mother become the basis of the mental life of the child in the womb.
If the power of contemplating is so effective, then by remembering the qualities of that superpower, can a human not get the wonderful benefit of morale and self-power? Of course, remembering the mighty actually open the doors of your soul for strength. Doesn't the extinguished lamp become lit by mixing the flame with the Mahajyotirmay(the fire)! One cannot live without the influence of the company. Just by dipping a plain white cloth in colored water, the cloth changes its color. By bringing water near the fire, the fire comes inside the water. When another plant is mixed with orange, it mixes itself with orange. The contemplation of the qualities of the super-powerful conscious God of this world fills human beings with superhuman and supreme bliss, there is no doubt about it.
Why chanting of God through Veda Mantras or in Sanskrit language only? (ईश्वर का जप वेदमंत्रों के द्वारा या संस्कृत भाषा में ही क्यों?)
Is it not useful to remember God in any language like Hindi, English, Tamil, Bengali, or Russian, Chinese? Does God not understand any language except Sanskrit?
You understand it this way. Like giving a letter to an officer higher than himself, he takes care that the language is pure and complete. If humble words are used to pray, then the prayer of the applicant is heard, but if inappropriate words are used for prayer, then even a common man does not listen to him. Because Sanskrit language is complete, pure, without disorder, it is the only language in the world which is free from errors. It is the divine language whose letters and words purify human's navel, throat, palate, tongue, teeth, lips, etc., having definite meaning of words, polite and available to all with equal effort. Because it takes equal effort for everyone to read Sanskrit language, it is worthwhile to convey one's feelings to God. The meanings of words in other languages are not as refined. That is why the Vedas have been told in the Sanskrit language itself, which is the first, the best and the most acceptable. The words of Sanskrit language cannot be expressed in other cosmic languages. Other languages cannot give the meaning that the words of the Vedas have. Therefore, it is desirable to praise, pray and worship God only through Sanskrit mantras. Only then can he get full benefit and success. God knows the feelings of our heart, but those feelings also arise in some language or the other. That's why it is not right to say that God understands the language of the dumb is not related to language, only emotion is the best, because feelings are also in some language and language consists of words, meanings and prayers.

How to praise, pray or worship God? (ईश्वर की स्तुति, प्रार्थना, उपासना कैसे करें?)
1. For the devotion of God, the first thing to do is to follow the command of God, that is, to live life according to the Vedas. Do all action that enshrined in the Vedas and don't do which is prohibited in the Vedas for man.
Vedadesh is the command of God. Vedas are the constitution of God, which after the creation of the universe was given to the first born human being in the state of samadhi. There is no history in the Vedas, there is no story of a king and queen. There is a law and a prohibition in it, that is, doing this, not doing this, doing this will bring sorrow, will have to suffer hell and by doing it one will get happiness, heaven will be attained, one will get liberation.
All these things God has told in the four Vedas through the sages.
Just as a person cannot become dear to the king by violating the constitution of the king, just as a son cannot become dear to the father by disobeying the command of the father, similarly no one can become dear to God by disobeying the command of God, Rather, he becomes a participant in the punishment.
2. Do proper meditation of God every day. You can also learn this Praise, Prayer, Worship by sitting in a suitable posture, in a quiet secluded place with your eyes closed, without moving and listening to the audio. One can learn even under the guidance of a direct guru, that is very good.
🌻There are many mantras in the Vedas, in which there is an exhortation of praise, prayer and worship of God. Let us first consider its meaning.
Stuti (Praise): To contemplate on the qualities of God, to have love in God, to improve one's qualities, deeds, nature by God's qualities, deeds, nature.
There are two types of praise:
-
Sagun Stuti: Praise with whatever qualities are there in God is called Sagun Stuti. For example, God is holy, so we also become holy.
-
Nirgun Stuti: To separate oneself from the qualities/demerits from which God is separate is called Nirguna Stuti. For example, God is nirvikar, so we also become nirvikar.
Prarthna (Prayer): Humbly praying to God. This brings humility, encouragement and help.
Upasana: Performing Ashtanga Yog rituals. Following are the 8 limbs of yog:
-
Yam - These are the five. Ahinsa (non-violence), Satya (truth), Asteya, Brahmacharya and Aparigrah.
-
Niyam - These are also five. Shauch(purity), Santosh(satisfaction),Tap(austerity), Swadhyay(self-study) and IshwarPranidhan(God's worship).
-
Asan
-
Pranayam
-
Pratyahar
-
Dharana
-
Dhyan
-
Samadhi
Restraint is the ninth part of worship.

Many names of God have come in this mantra too.

Many such names have appeared in the Vedas of the one formless, supreme father, the supreme soul. On the basis of these names many great men have also been named in the world. With the passage of time, people out of ignorance understood that the names of these great men and their glory are in the Vedas and made such a belief that Gods are many and take incarnations whose names are written in the Vedas. Which is a baseless fantasy. God is one, formless, all-pervading, pervading every particle and sustaining all. He also gives suitable fruits according to one's actions. Whose best name is Om .
All the remaining innumerable names in the Vedas are all according to its innumerable qualities. Like Vishnu, Shiva, Rudra, Indra, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Jagadamba etc. all these names belong to that formless Om. Our ancestors, sages, etc. have been worshiping him in yogic way.
Worship by making different types of idols, with different names of God, adorning them, offering them food, offering flowers, water, milk, oil on them, pretending to give life to them, consider them a symbol of the divine etc. is just blatant ignorance, desipience and foolishness. This is a non-Vedic method. Worshiping of Inanimate is different from the real nature of the conscious God is neither a ladder, nor a matter of first grade, nor is there a matter of becoming an atheist by opposing it.
It is actually such a ditch in which the spiritual development of a person stops by falling and remains in it till death. Yajna, Yog, remembrance of the supreme name Om and live life according to the Vedas is the devotion to that beloved world controller.
It is not fair to destroy the precious rare human birth in useless things.
